Schedules and Time Converter
- Where can I get a programming schedule?
- All program information is available on-line.
Programming Schedule
- Weekly schedules in Japanese and in Japanese Standard Time are available via fax. Please note that international charges are borne by the receiver.
- Call +81-3-5940-5411 from the handset of your fax machine.
- Enter "0" after the recorded Japanese message, and then enter "012."
- Press "Start" button to receive the programming schedule after the recorded Japanese message.
- You may find our daily/weekly programming in the major Japanese newspapers (international edition), locally published Japanese magazines and free papers/free circulation newspapers.
- How can I convert the schedules to my local time?

- Select your city from the pull-down menu.
- During daylight saving time, select "DST" from the pull-down next to the city menu.
- Click the "view" button.

- I selected "DST" but the time difference on the pull-down menu remains the same. Are the schedules in DST?
- As long as the menu is properly set, the programming schedules are converted and shown in DST. Please note that the time difference indicated next to the city will remain as standard time.
- e.g. Buenos Aires in DST

- How can I print out the schedules?
- Click the "print" button located at the upper right hand of the schedules for the print screen. The schedules are printable in A4 size paper.
Depending on the browser, the printed schedules may not look exactly the same as is shown in the browser.
- When do you post program details?
- Program synopsis in English are uploaded in the evening of Thursday, for the following week.
- Why is "Undecided" posted in the programming schedules?
- In order to provide our viewers with the same programs as those shown in Japan in a relatively same time period, NHK needs to make confirmations until the very last moment. For that reason "Undecided" is posted in the schedules until the final confirmation.
